At the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare, the Deputy Minister of this ministry, Ms. Rita Hajzeraj-Beqaj signed a memorandum of understanding with the Mayors ofmunicipality of Decan and Kamenica, Mr. Rasim Selmanaj and Mr. Sinan Begzadi. Also today, the same agreement will also be signed with the municipality of Vushtrria.
During the meeting, that Ms. Hajzeraj- Beqaj had with Mr. Selmanaj and Mr. Sinani, thanked them for expressing readiness for cooperation between local and central level in the area of social issues, which are aimed at delivering social services at the local level, which these services will be much closer to citizens in need.
With these agreements, powers will be transferred from the MLSW in their respective municipalities-residential institutional care for people with mental disabilities in mental development-stagnation, as defined in the relevant legislative acts and the agreement between the MLSW and MLG dated 18.01.2006.
