At this session was the first review of the Draft Law on Socially Owned Enterprises, which was welcomed and approved in principle by Assembly Members.

The Minister thanked the MPs for comments on this draft law.
Minister Mr. Reçica on this occasion said that due to the implications of other ministries, by sub legal acts will be specified tasks and responsibilities for each sector that will contribute to the development of social entrepreneurship in Kosovo.

At the hearing, the minister also spoke about categorizing the veterans of KLA, saying that this process will start soon and consequently will start compensation for this category as well.
“MLSW has already drafted a Draft Regulation on the Functioning, Composition, Work Organization and Procedures for the Categorization of Veterans of the Kosovo Liberation Army, which was forwarded for approval to the government,” said Mr. Reçica.

The Minister announced that the adoption of this regulation would take place within a very short time and announced that MLSW planned sufficient budget for this category in the draft budget for 2018.
Another issue of discussion was the compensation for the beneficiary category for paraplegic and tetraplegia persons, whose status and rights are regulated by Law No. 05 / L-067.

“The filing of the petition has begun on 24.04.2017. MLSW has prepared and submitted a proposal for a government approval for the compensation of paraplegic and tetraplegia persons, which was approved on 27.10.2017 for their compensation and their caretakers in the amount of 150 € per month.

In 2017 was not the budget provided for the compensation of these persons, but Minister Mr. Reçica informed the MPs that in the draft budget for 2018, MLSW has planned sufficient budget to compensate the beneficiaries of this category.
