100 jobseekers benefit from the MLSW – GIZ agreement

The Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare and German Organization for the International Cooperation GIZ where the aim is to support youth employment. This agreement was signed by Minister of MLSW, Mr. Arban Abrashi and Director of GIZ for the Republik of Kosova, Mr. James Macbeth with the slogan “Be part of the Work Practice program” where through practice at work will enable young people to share their experiences of working in different companies where the increased chance for a job will be hire.

Minister Abrashi initially thanked GIZ for sincere cooperation and professional that have during the drafting of the project and inform the participants that the project in question, as he called it a pilot project, will commence with the involvement of 100 active jobseekers who are registered in the employment offices, who will engage in practical work in various businesses, beginning with three municipalities, Gjakova, Ferizaj and Vushtrri.

‘’This is a culture of work that we are installing via this method for those who have completed education in theory will be able to make it a practical and these three municipalities will be only the first test on how to continue this project and we think this number will continuously overgrow” added  Minister Abrashi.

Responsibilities of the parties about the salary compensation of these young people will become in proportional way between MLSW – GIZ and business that provides jobs.

While Mr. Macbeth from GIZ said he is happy it was given the opportunity to help the Republic of Kosova on youth employment and a special thanks to Minister Abrashi for the cooperation and fairness that have shown on work.
