Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare, with the support of Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) has certifies 164 job seekers who have attended the training for entrepreneurship and self-employment programs.
At the Certification Ceremony of Three Self-Employment Programs funded by MLSW and GIZ, Minister of Labor and Social Welfare Skender Reçica stated that today they are creating a common commitment for providing perspective for young people in Kosovo.
“For a period of one year, over 160 job seekers have benefited from entrepreneurship programs, 50 new enterprises will be created and over 100 new jobs vacancies will be opened. This has a great impact on the well-being of over 300 families in Kosovo, ” said Minister Reçica.
The Minister thanked the German Government, especially the German GIZ, for their cooperation in implementation of these projects which directly impact the creation of new opportunities for the youth and also affects the decrease of unemployment in Kosovo, which is considered one of the most significant objectives of MLSW.
GIZ Director for Kosovo, James Macbeth, said that their joint engagement with MLSW is a great support for young people as well as an opportunity for creating new job vacanies.
Whereas the first secretary of the German Embassy in Kosovo, Anja Becky, thanked Minister Reçica for the cooperation regarding support for the youth, especially in the field of entrepreneurship, which according to her marks one of the main activities of the German government.
During this ceremony, Minister Reçica awarded grants for the beneficiaries of the three main programs, the Green Entrepreneurship Academy, the Entrepreneurship Academy in Kosovo, and the Young Entrepreneurs.
