MLSW and UNDP sign agreements in the field of employment

The Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare (MLSW) and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in the Republic of Kosova today signed an agreement to expand active labor market programs, namely self-employment, employment, job subsidies and job training, to offer sustainable employment opportunities in Republic of Kosova.
The agreement was signed by the Minister of Labor and Social Welfare, Mr. Skender Reçica and United Nations Development Coordinator and Permanent Representative of the UNDP in the Republic of Kosova, Mr. Andrew Russell.
The purpose of this program is the sustainable employment of registered jobseekers in the Public Employment Service through providing opportunities for opening new businesses through the self-employment program and creating job opportunities for jobseekers in the Republic of Kosova by subsidizing employers who are willing to employ them on a long-term basis within the pay subsidy program.
The program will support the opening of new businesses by unemployed people in the Republic of Kosova by increasing their incomes through job creation as well as employment and direct training of more than 200 unemployed jobseekers.
