Minister of Labor and Social Welfare, Skender Reçica, received today in a meeting representatives of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission, chaired by Stephanie Eble, Head of Mission for Kosovo and Ruud Vermeulen, resident representative for Kosovo.
Reçica and IMF representatives discussed about the reforms needed for war veterans and changes that need to be made in the 2014 Pension Law.
As a topic of discussion was also the decision of the Government, initiated by Minister Reçica, for compensation for victims of the recent war in Kosovo.
Another important point of discussion between Minister Reçica and IMF representatives was also the situation of the labor market in Kosovo and the reforms that are necessary for its advancement.
The Minister stressed the willingness and dedication that he and the Ministry has, to engage heavily on the important issues that were discussed in the meeting, especially on the necessary reforms regarding the war veterans in Kosovo, the necessary reforms to improve the situation as regards the labor market in the country, and changes on the Pension Law.
Minister Reçica and IMF representatives agreed on close cooperation in the above-mentioned issues as well as other priorities in the areas covered by MLSW.
