Minister of Labor and Social Welfare Mr, Skender Reçica is on an official visit to the Republic of Turkey. On the first day of the visit, Minister Reçica met with the Minister of Labor and Social Insurance, Mrs. Zhylide Sarieroglu.
Minister Reçica thanked Mrs. Sarieroglu for the support of the Republic of Turkey to the Republic of Kosovo, both in terms of recognizing the state of Kosovo, as well as in its economic development.
Mrs. Sarieroglu welcomed Minister Reçica and congratulated him for his position as minister, expressing the readiness of the department that she leads for cooperation and support.
Minister Reçica informed Minister Sarieroglu on the socio-economic situation in Kosovo, pointing out that in Kosovo unemployment is high and the leading ministry is taking the necessary measures to mitigate it through the professional training of the unemployed through self-employment and subsidy projects of wages for a certain time.
On this occasion, Mrs. Sarieroglu offered to Minister Reçica cooperation on the exchange of experiences. The Republic of Turkey has a great deal of experience and a very good model that it has implemented for alleviating unemployment in the country, through vocational training and education in the workplace.
Minister Reçica also asked to look at the possibilities of cooperation in terms of seasonal employment of Kosovo citizens in Turkey. The two ministers agreed to sign a co-operation agreement between the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare of Kosovo and the Ministry of Labor and Social Insurance of the Republic of Turkey to enable cooperation in specific areas of importance to both of our countries.
Minister Reçica thanked Mrs. Sarieroglu and invited her for an official visit to Kosovo. The two ministers highly praised the visit and showed the readiness of continuing mutual communication.
