Minister of Labor and Social Welfare, Skender Reçica, was part of the opening of Job Fair in Mitrovica, a fair organized in cooperation between Municipality of Mitrovica and Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare- Employment Agency of the Republic of Kosovo, by being also supported by the German GIZ.
The Minister has highly appreciated the organization of this fair, by also thanking the present employers who presented over 300 vacancies of different profiles for jobseekers of Mitrovica.
According to him, this creates real opportunities for employment and career development for all interested job-seekers, which at the same time presents one of the main objectives of Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare.
“This cooperation with German GIZ is not limited to this fair, but includes a number of activities summarized in the YES Program, which includes 1300 jobseekers on work practice, wage subsidies, self-employment and entrepreneurship scheme, and other active measures of labor market across Kosovo.” said Reçica.
The Minister stressed that MLSW’s engagement to create more opportunities is continuous, with the aim of promoting employment, self-employment, vocational training and work practice, in order to facilitate the process and the path towards integration in the labor market for all the unemployed people, especially for the youth of our country.
The Minister also said that MLSW will provide all the institutional infrastructure and its services available to directly support the achievement of goals of common interest, in order to increase employability and well-being of the citizens of Mitrovica and Kosovo.
