Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare, the Executive Bodies of Labour Inspectorate, held the first International Conference on Safety and Health at Work.
The purpose of this conference is to share experiences from the EU and requirements for harmonization and standardization of policies and mechanisms for health and safety at work, where participants from different European countries. While the purpose of the Law on Safety and Health at Work is the assignment of measures to improve the level of safety and health of workers at work.
On this occasion the Minister of Labour and Social Welfare Mr. Nenad Rasic, stressed that as Minister of Labour will increase the number of inspectors and appreciate that the safety and health at work will be one of the priorities that will engage the most. “Employers and employees always have some reservations, of these reserves occur when it comes to labor inspection, inspectors therefore are there to help you, not to harm, and we really will try to establish cooperation with all employers. Therefore, the importance lies in mutual respect, acceptance of responsibility, so employers have their own responsibilities, should be aware of them. ”
While Labour Inspectorate the Chief of Inspectorate Mr. Basri Ibrahimi said that to reduce unemployment needs to be reduced informal market and strengthen the rule of law, also said the need to reform policies to promote employment and social dialogue.
Minister Rasic finally commended the initiators of this event for the initiative and organizing this aimed conference, thereby desired many other gatherings of this nature, because the life of workers is the most expensive.
