Minister of Labor and Social Welfare, Skender Reçica is staying on an official visit to Lisbon, Portugal.
Reçica, accompanied by Kosovo’s ambassador to Portugal Ylber Kryeziu, met with Minister of Labor, Solidarity and Social Security, José Vieira da Silva, who he reported on the socio-economic situation in Kosova and the problems that the Republica of Kosova faces regarding the unemployment.
From his counterpart, Reçica was given special emphasis on the advanced system of vocational training and retraining in Portugal and the importance that the Portuguese state provides for the vocational training of its citizens.
Minister Reçica said that the Government, respectively the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare, is paying particular attention to vocational training as a prerequisite for reducing unemployment in the country. He added that it is very important for Kosova to adopt from Portugal the best practices regarding employment, vocational training and retraining, which sought to concretize cooperation through a bilateral agreement in the field of employment and vocational training.
On this occasion, Minister Reçica invited Minister José Vieira da Silva to visit the Republic of Kosova and see the possibility of implementing cooperation.
Minister José Vieira da Silva offered Portugal full readiness to help the Republic of Kosova and to cooperate not only in the issues discussed at the meeting but also in other areas for which Republic of Kosova needs assistance.
