The Minister of Labor and Social Welfare, Mr. Skender Reçica, in the framework of the discussion on the negotiation of the financial support program with the mission of the International Monetary Fund, held a virtual meeting with the team of this mission, represented by the head of the mission for Kosovo, Mr. Gabriel Di Bella.
In this meeting, Minister Mr. Reçica talked about the pandemic situation in Kosovo and the challenges that the Government is facing, namely the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare, regarding the effect of the pandemic on the social welfare of the citizens of Kosovo.
Minister Mr. Reçica presented to the members of the IMF the policies of the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare, namely the reforms in the social field which are being undertaken by the Ministry. Also, presented the dynamic proposal-plan, about the Pension Reform, the Social Assistance Reform, the Reform of Labor Relations and Maternity Leave, etc.
On this occasion, Minister Mr. Reçica stressed that the Pension Reform, Social Assistance and Labor Relations are very important for the state and its citizens, because they directly affect their well-being, eliminate injustices, eliminate the multiplicity of laws and create a sustainable social system. economic for the country.
Minister Mr. Reçica agreed with the mission team to work closely together to find the best solutions related to these reforms and for these reforms to be for the benefit of the citizens and financially sustainable.
