The European Week for Safety and Health at Work, Minister Mr. Reçica concluded today with a visit to the factory “NewCo Ferronikeli”, in Drenas, where together with the Chief Inspector of the Labor Inspectorate, Mr. Ekrem Kastrati closely saw the work done by this factory, the commitment of its in providing better working conditions as well as improving the quality of safety and health at work.
“I am pleased that this factory, despite the current situation with the pandemic, has never stopped so that over 800 of its workers have increased care in terms of safety and health at work” – said Minister Reçica and added that we will continue to be close to workers and employers every day, to support them, always in accordance with applicable law. The purpose of our inspectors is never to fine employers, but to raise awareness and comply with legislation in order to improve workers’ conditions, safety and health in the workplace.
The life and rights of workers are a priority of me and the department I lead, so in no case will we be silent and we will be uncompromising towards all those who do not respect the measures of safety and health at work, said the Minister of MLSW, Mr. Skender Reçica.
