The Minister of Labor and Social Welfare, Mr. Skender Reçica, received today at the meeting the representatives of the European Committee for the Prevention of Torture and Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment, led by Ms. Natacha DE ROECK, who are monitoring the Republic of Kosovo. Discussed the findings and recommendations of the final report on these issues by the Kosovo Committees on the institutional engagement of Kosovo, with special emphasis on the work of the Special Institute in Shtime.
Minister Mr. Reçica expressed his happiness that the keynote report is positive and appreciated for his dedication to the department that directs the continuous support given to the Institute, in building the capacity of the staff, for the investments that have been made and for the necessary training.
The members of the European Committee, Minister Mr. Reçica, informed them about the future goals of the Institute, specifically that they plan to reduce the number of residents and at the same time open community-based facilities in order to provide better services to the residents.
