Minister of Labor and Social Welfare, Skender Reçica participated today in the meeting of the Parliamentary Committee on Health, Labor and Social Welfare, during which was discussed about the Social Security Agreement between the Republic of Kosova and the Swiss Confederation.
Minister Reçica, reporting to members of the commission, regarding the agreement in question, warned that it is expected to be signed by the end of March.
The Minister informed the attendees that the technical groups of both countries have already finalized the draft of the General Agreement on Social Security between the Republic of Kosova and Switzerland and the Administrative Arrangement for the Implementation of the General Agreement, both draft agreements that MLSW has forwarded to in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kosova.
Speaking about the content of the agreement, Minister Reçica said that citizens who benefit from this agreement will benefited paying pension contributions, family pensions, invalidity pensions and basic retirement pensions.
“With this agreement, Kosovar citizens who have worked a long time in the Swiss Confederation will be enabledthat after the retirement age, with be entitled to take the pension in the Republic of Kosova” Reçica said.
On the other hand, persons who reside in Switzerland and meet the conditions for obtaining any pension under the applicable legislation, the Kosovar Party is obliged to export the pension payment from the Republic of Kosova to Switzerland.
