Minister Reçica invites young people to be professionally trained

For two consecutive weeks, the Minister of Labor and Social Welfare, Skender Reçica, for the purpose of promoting vocational training and retraining has visited seven Vocational Training Centers (VTCs) in Prishtina, Mitrovica, Gjilan, Ferizaj, Prizren, Gjakova and Peja.
During the visits to these training centers, Minister Reçica met many young and new candidates, some even with postgraduate and postgraduate studies, who have attended and attending training courses in various professions.
Reçica also met many certified people who had completed training in areas such as tailoring, carpentry, hairdressers, graphic designers who, thanks to the training courses they had previously attended in the VTC, have managed to find jobs or open their businesses.
From the center’s representatives, the minister was informed that most of the certified people manage to become part of the labor market and even hire others in the businesses they open.
At the end of the visit, the Minister said that what she has been able to see these days is the dedication of the training staff of the centers to enable the interested candidates, as well as the willingness of many young people and young people to attend training courses at the respective centers.
“We have conducted a week of promoting vocational training by visiting the seven vocational training centers in the municipalities of the Republic of Kosovo. I was lucky to meet young and new, with training and even undergraduate and postgraduate qualifications, eager to get knowledge and knowledge. I also met new and young people who, after the training they have done in these vocational training centers, have shown success, opening their businesses even by employing others in these businesses, “Reçica said.
The Minister called on all young people, potential candidates and unemployed to enroll in the Employment Offices in Kosovo Municipalities and to appear at the Vocational Training Centers as an extraordinary opportunity to train in different profiles and become part of of the labor market.
In the seven vocational training centers there are altogether 60 workshops and 30 certified profiles. In the period from September 2017 to March 2018, in the seven Vocational Training Centers (VTCs), trainings followed a total of 3 519 candidates, while 2,343 of them were certified.
During the same period, 10 433 new jobseekers were registered at all Employment Offices at country level. In regular employment there are 2 346 persons involved, whereas active labor market measures include 1 466 persons.
