Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Welfare, Vesel Makolli, was visiting the Elderly House today, at the inauguration of the investments made at the premises of this institution. On this occasion, for the given contribution, Deputy Minister Makolli and the Director of the Elderly Home, Ms. Raze Aliqkaj, shared gratitude for the representative of the multinational corporation JTI (Japan Tobacco International) Perparim Tushaj, as well as the implementer of this project in Prishtina, Center for Human Services and Development, namely Ms. Mimoza Shahini, project leader.
The JTI and the Center for Human Services and Development have, have arranged the interior and exterior facilities in the House of Elders.
In the greeting speech, Deputy Minister Makolli, thanking the donors, said the initiative for the regulation of infrastructure and facilities in the Elderly House is a very humane work. “The hands that help are more sacred than the lips that pray. To take care of someone for us, we need to look after these residents of this house today. It’s a pleasure when one experiences life, because not everyone experiences the third age, “he said. Makolli among other things said that residents of this house will not be left in oblivion and that institutions will always take care in the future for the generation that contributed greatly to our country.
He thanked all those who in different ways are contributing to the well-being and comfort of these people, who in addition to the material contribution, mostly need to be closer to them and not to feel abandoned.
