Minister Reçica met with representatives of the Blind Women’s Committee

Minister of Labor and Social Welfare, Mr. Skender Reçica met today with the director of the Kosovo Blind Women’s Committee (KGVK), Mrs. Bajramshahe Jetullahu and representatives of this Committee, with whom he talked about the position of blind people in Kosovo and the coordination of actions with a view to the greatest support of this category, especially women.
Minister Mr. Reçica said that the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare is committed to giving deserved support to the most vulnerable categories based on the capacity it has, in order to ensure proper welfare for them.
“MLSW is working on the creation of a comprehensive law on people with disabilities through which it will advance the treatment of people with disabilities and will avoid problems that have accompanied this category so far,” said Minister Mr. Reçica.
For this part the Director Jetullahu thanked Minister Mr. Reçica for the reception and readiness to support this category. She informed the minister about the activities that the Women’s Committee deals with and about the position of blind women in Kosovo and their needs.
