Minister of Labor and Social Welfare, Skender Reçica, with his associates, is on an official visit to Germany. In this case Mr. Reçica met with representatives of the Albanian-German Business Union and representatives of the Federal Trade Union of Germany based in Dortmund. Minister Reçica expressed gratitude for the Albanian-German Business Union and the Albanian Diaspora in Germany for continued assistance to the state of the Republic of Kosova.
Business Union Representatives congratulated Minister Reçica for his engagement in the new office and at the same time expressed their satisfaction for his visit, care and interest for the Albanian diaspora. Minister Reçica informed the representatives of the business union about the government program and its commitment to fighting unemployment in Kosovo, by reducing social assistance through employment and increasing the opportunities for vocational education and training of young people and women in the Republic of Kosova. On this occasion, Minister Reçica stressed that MLSW has started co-operation in the realization of joint projects with the German state in the field of vocational training, also requested that this cooperation be expanded with the Albanian-German Business Union.
Representatives of the Business Union expressed their readiness to cooperate with MLSW to assist the Republic of Kosova, especially Kosovar youth in the field of vocational education and training. One more time Minister Reçica thanked the Representatives for warm hospitality and expression of interest to cooperate.
Minister Reçica also met with representatives of the Federal Trade Union of Germany, based in Dortmund. On this occasion Minister Reçica was closely informed of the project “Fair Mobility”. This project is an important project, which focuses on advising migrant workers of EU member states and third countries. On this occasion, Minister Reçica, asked from representatives of the Trade Union to start cooperation on starting the provision of advice to citizens from Kosovo in the field of labor migration.
The interlocutors agreed that together with GIZ and the Federal Trade Union of Germany to start translate the materials into the Albanian language as well and to establish links with the Employment Agency regarding the training or hospitality of the Agency staff in the field of citizen consultation related on the work migration in Germany.
