Minister of Labor and Social Welfare, Skender Reçica, hosted today in a meeting of representatives of the World Bank, chaired by Stefanie Brodmann, informed them about a range of issues and reforms undertaken by MLSW in various fields. The topic of discussion between Minister Reçica and representatives of the World Bank was the New Labor Law and the reforms being made by MLSW regarding the employment relationship.
Also, in the meeting was discussed about the necessary pension reform where the minister emphasized that in the legislative program of the government for this year, MLSW has foreseen the drafting of the concept paper on the pension law.
Also, the minister announced World Bank representatives on the reforms related to the approach towards the disability persons whereby MLSW plans to include a comprehensive law on the regulation of rights for the category of persons with disabilities.
The Minister thanked the representatives of the World Bank for their continued support, while on their part received confirmation of support and readiness for cooperation on issues discussed in the meeting, as well as other areas where there is a need for cooperation.
