Launched a program of Self-employment by the MLSW and UNDP

Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare in collaboration with the Programme for United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Ministry of Trade and Industry, announced the first invitation to open for submission of applications for grants and business development support for jobless persons with unique business idea.
Deputy Minister of MLSW Ms. Rita Hajzeraj-Beqaj thanks, the Finnish Government and UNDP for the continued support that has given the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare in the development processes of the labor market and its focus on promoting employment and vocational training in Kosovo.
The key elements of a successful program of self-employment include a fair competitive process and application, training in basic business skills, design and preparation of a solid business plan, financial support (through grants) to start the business and providing a services monitoring.

Pilot phase of the program will be implemented in Pristine, Prizren and Gjilan and there will be no regional quotas limiting the number of applicants and the amount of funding that will be used in each region.
