Opens “German Informative Center for migration, education and career “

Among other things, as a reaction to the wave of – in most cases illegal – emigration from Kosovo during the period from end 2014/beginning of 2015, the ”German Information Point for Migration, Education and Career –DIMAK“ has been established by the GIZ under appointment of the Federal Republic of Germany. The information point will make information offered by Germany and Kosovo accessible at one single spot, creating greater awareness of possibilities on legal migration to Germany, and especially on employment promotion for the Kosovar population.
There is a variety of information offered particularly concerning the questions „Why stay? What options and chances are offered to me in Kosovo?“ and „If I go, how do I do that?“. The employees of the information point will provide support on further search for information. Especially with regards to „Why stay?“, GIZ is closely cooperating with the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare (MLSW).
The Information Point provides information through multimedia tools on legal options for migrating to Germany, and especially on the conditions that have to be met for that purpose. For many people migration to Germany is not possible. Therefore, special emphasis is placed on
employment opportunities provided by the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare. In addition to the offer provided in the information point including regular workshops, numerous information days shall be held throughout Kosovo in the course of  the year.
