Social and Family Policies Department
1. Tasks and responsibilities of the Social and Family Policies Department include:
1.1. Proposes, develops and ensures implementation of policies/strategies in the field of social and family policies;
1.2. Proposes, develops and ensures implementation of legislation in the field of social and family policies;
1.3. Proposes, develops and monitors implementation of social and family policy standards;
1.4. Addresses requests for licensing of social and family service providers;
1.5. Manages in-cash benefits schemes for poor households, children with disabilities and payments for family sheltering;
1.6. Carries out analysis in the field of social and family policies;
1.7. Planning and participation in administering EU-funded Projects and other supporting local and international organizations.
2. Head of Social and Family Policy Department reports to the General Secretary of the MLSW.
3. Social and Family Services Department is composed of the following Divisions:
3.1. Social Policy Division;
3.2. Division for Social Planning and Inclusion;
3.3. Social Services Division;
3.4. Social Assistance Division; and
3.5. Division for Disabled and Elderly People.
4. Number of Social and Family Policy Department staff is forty eight (48).
