Department of Martyrs’ Families and War Invalids
1. Tasks and responsibilities of the Department of Martyrs’ Families and War Invalids include:
1.1. Development and promotion of MLSW policies in the field of war categories’ pensions and benefits;
1.2. Administration of war categories’ pension scheme;
1.3. Planning and coordination of general pension and benefits programme for categories of war;
1.4. Carrying out payments for pension and benefits scheme for war categories and maintaining records and statistics on payments’ expenditures;
1.5. Development and publishing of analysis and statistics in the field of war categories pensions and benefits schemes;
1.6. Monitoring of legislation implementation on war categories pensions and benefits scheme;
1.7. Investigates, identifies and corrects possible errors regarding pension schemes’ benefits procedures;
1.8. Timely management of pension and benefits payments determined by contractual papers between MLSW and commercial banks in the country;
1.9. Preparation and planning of budgetary requirements for Departments and their presentation to responsible bodies within and outside MLSW;
1.10. Managing of the budget for benefits’ payment and maintaining records and statistics on pension payments.
2. Head of the Department of Martyrs’ Families and War Invalids reports to the General Secretary;
3. Department of Martyrs’ Families and War Invalids manages the following Divisions:
3.1 Division for War Categories Schemes;
3.2 Rights Fullfilment Division; and
3.3 Monitoring and Control Division
4. Number of the Department of Martyrs’ Families and War Invalids staff is twenty (20).
