Minister Reçica hosted a delegation from the State of Iowa

Minister of Labor and Social Welfare, Mr. Skender Reçica, received today a delegation from the State of Iowa, USA, chaired by the President of College DMACC (Des Moines Area Community College), Mr. Rob Denson.

Minister Mr. Reçica expressed his gratitude for the continued support of the United States for the Republic of Kosovo in all its stages of statebuilding and development. Mr. Reçica informed Mr. Denson about the problems Kosovo is facing with regard to unemployment and the lack of skilled workers, according to the labor market needs.

He stressed that vocational training and youth orientation in career are indispensable and the key to mitigating unemployment in the country.
On the other hand, Mr. Denson offered full US support to help Kosovo in issues that were discussed about employment and vocational training.

After the meeting, Minister Reçica and the Iowa delegation visited the Vocational Training Center in Pristina to look closely at the work done in the service of jobseekers who choose this center to attend vocational training in the profiles offered there.
