After the inauguration of the first phase of the construction of 30 houses for the members of the KLA, in June this year, today officially are handing over the keys for 30 other families of this category in the former district of Kuwait in Podujeve.
In the presence of the beneficiaries of this project, other citizens and the leadership of the Municipality of Podujeva, Deputy / Minister of the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare, Mr. Fatmir Shurdhaj said that he felt very happy that today is realized even this phase of the project and where the shelter have find 30 families of the categories from the war. “Today, once again we have proved permanent dedication and commitment of the Government of the Republic of Kosova to provide shelter and better living conditions for all categories emerged from the war of the KLA, but also other social cases. I am proud that this project is successfully implemented and I believe that successful will continue in the future, “said Mr. Shurdhaj.
The construction of these houses is MLSW project, conducted in compliance with a Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare and the Municipality of Podujeva in the past year, where MLSW has allocated funds in the amount of 420 thousand Euros.
