Held the Conference: Informal waste collection in Kosovo: The challenge and opportunities

At the conference with the topic “informal waste collection in Kosovo”, in which they discussed the challenges and opportunities, also attended the Deputy Minister / of the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare Ms. Rita Hajzeraj-Beqaj. On this occasion, Deputy Minister / Ms. Rita Hajzeraj-Beqaj said that as Minister of Labour and Social Welfare attach special importance to employment topics of groups and individuals in particular need. Vulnerable groups include different layers of society who come from all communities, but some of the communities with the highest unemployment and lowest wellbeing are Roma, Ashkali and Egyptian communities, and this also reflect official statistics and studies. Also at the end of the conference, Deputy Minister / Ms. Rita Hajzeraj-Beqaj said that as MLSW welcomes this report drafted by ECMI Kosovo, which offers a serious and detailed study, the informal sector waste collection in Kosovo. Also she said that the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare is open and ready for cooperation with ECMI of Kosovo with projects and other activities that lead to the improvement of conditions and social welfare for informal waste collectors.
