Political Advisor to the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare Mr. Victor Mehana, accompanied by Mr. Faik Prekazi, Director of the Directorate for European Integration and Social Welfare near Mitrovica municipality, as well as representatives of the North neighborhood, today, in a visit to the town of Mitrovica, based on the needs of its citizens living in the North of the country, have make distribution of food parcels for families in these neighborhoods.
Of these food packages and hygiene, including major items such as flour, oil, salt, detergent and other necessary items for living, ongoing results will benefit 122 families in all neighborhoods of the northern part of the city.
Also, part of the Ministry of the aid will be the Albanian-inhabited villages of the municipality of Leposavic.
“We have visited the north of the country and earlier database of citizens have decided to help these families with food and hygiene packages for the Feast of the Fast. However, today, this is just the beginning, where we will continue with this assistance to these families that are included in the list, “said Mr. Mehana.
Mr. Prekazi thanked Mr. Mehana commitments and ongoing support MLSW has given and continues to give life helping and providing a better welfare for all citizens.
