The social housing facility in Stantërg of Mitrovica has been inaugurated, which will serve 17 families with severe social conditions. The facility was financed by the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare and costed of 294 thousand euros, while the Municipality of Mitrovica has allocated the parcel and will allocate these apartments to 17 families.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by the Minister of Labor and Social Welfare, Mr. Skender Reçica, the Head of the Parliament of the Assembly of the Republic of Kosova, Mr. Kadri Veseli and the Mayor of Mitrovica, Mr. Agim Bahtiri.
The Minister of MLSW, Mr. Skender Reçica, said that he feels happy that today these 17 beneficiary families will no longer be out, but will have a roof over their head and will find again the warmth of the Mouse they lacked for many years.
The minister emphasized that the MLSW has also implemented the construction projects of social character, such as the construction of 10 houses for families in need in Podujevë and the residential social housing block with 25 apartments in Kaçanik and pledged that within this mandate the government will continue even with such the projects, so that no homeless families in the Republic of Kosova can be found.
The Head of the Parlament Mr. Veseli, promised to families that 50 percent of the kitchens will be mobilized by donors, while the rest through the institutions. Veseli said this project is very important because familjes need shelter. He added that families would not be allowed to live in difficult conditions.
Meanwhile, Mayor of Mitrovica, Mr. Agim Bahtiri thanked the Head of the Parliament Mr. Veseli and Minister Reçica, who enabled on the eve of the 10th anniversary of Independence of Kosova to enjoy these families with social conditions. Also, Mayor Bahtiri said that the municipality has also formed an adequate committee that will examine the housing requirements and within to weeks, the beneficiaries will receive the keys.
