Minister of Labour and Social Welfare, Mr. Skender Reçica, met today several repatriated citizens who are beneficiaries of the Self-Employment Program, a joint program of MLSW and UNDP, with the support of the Ministry of Internal Affairs supports repatriated persons through their involvement in active labour market measures.
Repatriated beneficiaries who have opened their businesses have today shared several different devices, with the aim of providing support for the work in their businesses. On this occasion, the minister also shared a certificate for the repatriates and wishing the beneficiaries further success in their businesses. Also present was the UNDP Deputy Representative in the Republic of Kosova, Mr. Alessandra Roccasalvo.
The Minister Reçica said that MLSW through this program is aiming to contribute to the integration of repatriated persons into the labour market and to create them facilities in doing business.
“We are constantly supporting, together with UNDP, various categories through the programs we are developing. It is extremely important that the category of repatriated persons be included in the labour market and be offered opportunities and facilities through various forms of support, such as what we are doing today, while facilitating their work in doing business ” , said Minister Reçica.
Within the Self-Employment Program, from January to October of this year, 190 repatriated persons and 20 regular jobseekers have benefited. Meanwhile, in the same period, MLSW, together with UNDP, has engaged in active labour market measures 693 jobseekers, of which 333 are regular and 360 repatriated jobseekers.
