Kuwait’s Government expresses full readiness to Minister Reçica in helping Kosovo in employment and social welfare.
Minister of Labor and Social Welfare, Skender Reçica, is staying on an official visit in Kuwait on the invitation of his counterpart.
Today, Reçica met the Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, who at the same time is a Minister for Economic Affairs, Hind Sabeeh Barak Al-Sabeeh.
The head of MLSW thanked his counterpart for hospitality as well as for the support that Kuwait is giving to Kosovo. He also informed her about the socio-economic situation in Kosovo and the efforts being made by the Government of the Republic of Kosovo, respectively, the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare, in reducing unemployment and raising social welfare for its citizens.
On this occasion, Reçica stressed the commitment that he and the department that he leads are making in reaching agreements on seasonal employment in EU countries and beyond, including here the state of Kuwait, adding that Kosovo has a prepared and certified staff ready for the labor market abroad.
Minister Hind Sabeeh Barak Al-Sabeeh stated that Kuwait needs manpower in some fields and she expresses a full readiness to reach such an agreement as soon as possible for employment of Kosovo’s citizens in the state of Kuwait.
The topic of discussion was also the co-operation on raising the well-being of certain categories in Kosovo, such as elderly people, children and vulnerable groups, where the Minister called for Kuwait’s help to build several centers for elderly people, social housing as well as for children without parental care.
Minister Hind Sabeeh Barak Al-Sabeeh offered the support and willingness of the Government of Kuwait to help Kosovo in these issues and they jointly agreed that these projects shall be concretized as soon as possible.
Finally, Minister Reçica invited his counterpart for a visit to Kosovo and expressed the readiness of the Government of Kosovo to further deepen the cooperation with Kuwait in relevant areas.
