On September 30th 2019, in front of 44 participants, Mr. Dardan Sadriu from the European Union Office in Kosovo opened the first information session about the newly launched grant scheme financed by the European Union: “Improving labour market access of disadvantaged groups through social enterprises and active labour market measures”. Mr. Sadriu explained to participants and interested partners the Guidelines for Application, application procedures and provided clarifications to questions and concerns raised by the participants.
Through this grant scheme, the European Union Office in Kosovo aims to support projects that will increase employability and sustainable employment prospects for disadvantaged groups, namely youth and women in Kosovo through development of social enterprises or implementation of the different active labour market measures.
On the other hand, project expert Ms. Dajana Berisha, highlighted few examples of successful social enterprises in Kosovo and provided clarifications to participants about the social enterprise concept and format.
In addition to the formal part of the information session, project expert, Mr Robert Babic provided, during a day and a half, advice and coaching to interested organizations and potential applicants on project proposal development where participants had the opportunity to develop their project idea for this Call for Proposal.
