Launches awareness raising campaign “Safety and health at work and formal work”

From today’s open awareness campaign “Safety and health at work and formal work” campaign which aims to raise the awareness of enterprises to improve working conditions. Participants at the opening of this campaign were MLSW Minister Mr. Arban Abrashi, Basri Ibrahimi, Chief Inspector of TEIP and representatives from TUK, KCC, KBA, and ACHC. On this occasion the Minister of Labour and Social Welfare, Mr. Arban Abrashi thanked the participants, noting that the idea of this campaign is to improve relations between employers and employees with special emphasis on improving the conditions of employees.

Included in this campaign are all social partners, where the Chief Inspector of Labour Inspectorate, Mr. Basri Ibrahim said a monthly campaign aims to raise the awareness of employers to provide a safe environment for employees, but once again underlined the fact that is not proponent of penalties against businesses, but become more about awareness and information to employers for the obligations they have to the rights and obligations established by the Law on Safety and Health at Work.

It campaign, which is organized by the Chief Inspector of Labour in cooperation with the European Union will last throughout April and will be broadcast 30 consecutive days in television spots.
