MLSW benefits over 7 million Swiss Franc from the Swiss Government for the project “ Increasing Youth Employment”

Minister of MLSW, Mr.Arban Abrashi and the Director of  the Swiss Cooperation Office in Kosovo, Mr.Patrick Etienne,  signed today in Pristina the Agreement on the project  “Increasing Youth Employment”, phase II, a project which will last up to 31st of December 2020.

The aim of the phase II of the EYE project is to have a more dynamic and social labor market which provides more jobs every day,  by also including  self-employment of the youth in Kosovo.

Implementation of this project will have results which will enable the youth of Kosovo to acquire adequate skills in order to increase their employment through a market-oriented training system. They will also be given the opportunity to be informed about the choice of career and have more employment opportunities through an improved system of  labour mediation. Apart from this, the number of businesses and social enterprises will be increased and they will invest in new jobs in the sectors with economic potential.

For implementation of this project, the Swiss Government has allocated the amount of 7,570,000.00 CHF (seven million, five hundred seventy thousand Swiss Franc), funds that will be used exclusively  for implementation of this project in cooperation with the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare.
