The Minister of Labor and Social Welfare, Mr. Skender Reçica, today held an online meeting with the US Ambassador, Mr. Philip Kosnett, with whom he discussed the situation of COVID-19 in Kosovo and the implementation of fiscal measures to help the citizens of Kosovo.
Minister Mr. Reçica and the Ambassador Mr. Kosnett agreed that the situation with COVID-19 has become more difficult in the last month and considered that citizens should respect the measures taken by the Government, as well as use protective equipment in order to protect each other.
Minister Mr. Reçica also informed the Ambassador Mr. Kosnett about the priorities of the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare and the Reforms that will continue to be implemented in this mandate.
Meanwhile, the Ambassador Mr. Kosnett expressed the intention of the USA Government to continue to support Kosovo’s institutions in the fight against pandemic, emphasizing accountability from government institutions, political parties and ordinary citizens to do their part.
In the end, the Minister Mr. Reçica thanked the Ambassador Mr. Kosnett for everything that the USA has done and is doing in consolidating the state of Kosovo.
