Today, the Minister of Labor and Social Welfare, Mr.Safet Kamberi, and the Director of “Handikos”, Afrim Maliqi, signed an Agreement for cofinancing the project “Constructing the Center for People with Disabilities in the Municipality of South Mitrovica- Handikos”.
The project “Construction of the Center for People with Disabilities in the Municipality of South Mitrovica “HANDIKOS” has a pre-estimated value of 200,000.00 €. MLSW finances this project in the amount of € 100,000.00 from the annual budget planned for 2018, while the rest is covered by ‘Handikos’.
The Minister of MLSW, Mr.Kamberi, stated that the Ministry’s focus in the improvement of the living conditions for people with disabilities will be permanent.
Minister of Labor and Social Welfare, Mr.Safet Kamberi has also added :“ We will contribute continuously in order to be as close as possible to people in need, either with projects, or with providing them with the conditions and integration, as well as treating them equally in society. Our commitment will not be missed, depending on the condition and the budgetary opportunities”.
The Director of Handikos, Afrim Maliqi, thanked Minister Kamberi for the cooperation, adding that Kosovo is ranked above the region in many aspects, in providing conditions and the way it treats this category in society. He was optimistic that in the future, the situation of people with disabilities will be advanced even more.
