This advisory body, which aims to provide and advice Institutions of the country about the function and development of social-economic policies ,during this meeting of a special interest, discussed about the initial draft on amending the Law on SEC.This Law, after the received proposals of the representative experts of this council , is said to be processed in the Government in the following weeks. Minister of MLSW, Mr.Arban Abrashi, at the same time the chairman of this body, who after greeting the participants of this council , obliged the present members to begin immediately the formation of a Technique Working Group which will treat the comments of each party in order for them to incorporate on the amendment of the present Law on the Social-Economic Council.
During the flow of discussion in this council, the participants said that this amendment of Law on SEC will efficiently treat the organization, acivity, composition, the scope of activities and competences in general.
Minister Abrashi emphasized to the participants that all the ideas and the project-proposals that have come from the social partners and have been presented in this meeting, will be reviewed and analysed with a special treatment, promising them that in the next meetings they will be notified for all the future steps and the possibility of implementing these project-ideas. He also added that the future meetings will also be about concrete proposals about minimum wages in Kosovo, by considering facts and elements from the cost of living, percentage of unemployment, the overall situation in the labor market, the degree of competition and productivity in the country .So, based on this they have to provide an approximation of the minimum wage in the country.
