Minister Mr. Abrashi and Mr. Atsuki Takahashi visited the State Shelter for Housing of the Victims of Trafficking
Minister of Labour and Social Welfare Mr. Arban Abrashi yesterday held meetings with Mr. Atsuki Takahashi, an official for monitoring and combating human trafficking by the US State Department.
Minister Abrashi presented at meetings institutional commitments in providing services to victims of trafficking and together with Mr. Takahashi and other officials of the US Embassy in Kosovo, visited the State Housing Shelter for Victims of Trafficking, which accommodates shelter trafficking cases at the medium and high risk, as well as victims of trafficking as a witness.
Minister Abrashi also announced the cooperation of the Ministry with the civil society sector, through which offered additional services for these categories, actions taken by the Ministry, as the licensing of providers of social services, capacity building and programs of reintegration and sustainability financial.
Mr. Takahashi from the US State Department, praised the efforts of the Ministry to this category and pledged with the cooperation with the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare.
