The social housing facility in Stantërg of Mitrovica has been inaugurated, which will serve 17 families with severe social conditions. The facility was financed by the Ministry of Laborand Social Welfare and costed of 294 thousand euros, while the Municipality of Mitrovica has allocated the parcel and will allocate these apartments to 17 families.

Under the direction of the Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Welfare, Mr. Çerkin Dukolli, today is held the next meeting of the National Council for Safety and Health at Work. At this meeting, it was necessary to identify the concrete tasks within this year that the Council will face. Deputy Minister Dukolli said that it is very important for this Council to come up with an effective work plan and apply for 2018.

Minister of Labor and Social Welfare, Skender Reçica reported today to the Parliamentary Committee on Human Rights, Gender Equality, Missing Persons and Petitions, about amending and supplementing the Law on Pension Schemes funded by the state, which has already been sent for approval to the Government of the Republic of Kosova.

All services that so far have been carried out by the Regional Pension Office - Pristina at the central facility of MLSW on the "UÇK" road from now on will be offered at the former Ljubljana (formerly OSCE) bank facility.

MLSW certifies 164 young job seekers

Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare, with the support of Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) has certifies 164 job seekers who have attended the training for entrepreneurship and self-employment programs. At the Certification Ceremony of Three Self-Employment Programs funded by MLSW and GIZ, Minister of Labor and Social Welfare Skender Reçica stated that today they are creating a common commitment for providing perspective for young people in Kosovo.

Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Welfare, Ҫerkin Dukolli attended the first regional conference "Hidden Economy" held in Skopje, a conference organized by the Center for Research and Policy Making (Macedonia), Institute for Democracy and Mediation (Albania ) and Democracy for Development (Kosova). On behalf of MLSW, the Deputy Minister congratulated the organizers of the conference, saying that such topics would contribute to enhancing cooperation, advancing and addressing the challenges of the hidden economy that our societies face.

Minister of Labor and Social Welfare, Skender Reçica, has reacted after the death of a Kosovo Energy Corporation (KEK) employee at his workplace.

"I regretfully received the news of the death of a Kosovo Energy Corporation employee in his workplace. He expressed his deepest condolences to the family of the deceased, "said Minister Reçica.

The government commission for verifying the status of victims of sexual violance during the recent war in Kosova will start addressing the first applications on February 5’th of this year, the day when the application process is officially started. This was announced today during the launch of the process of recognizing and verifying the status of victims of sexuale violance during the war, attended by senior state representatives, ambassadors of foreign states in Republic of Kosova and representatives of civil society.
