On May 17, a Cooperation Agreement was signed between Minister of Labor and Social Welfare, Skender Reçica, and University of  Prishtina Rector, Marjan Dema, for enganging in internship 200 students for a 3 month period of time.
Minister Reçica stated that in addition to the good cooperation with the UP, today we are concretizing the agreement which will enable the engagement of 200 students in internship. "In cooperation with the University of Prishtina, the Employment Agency and the Vocational Training Centers, a good opportunity is offered to students who have benefited from this agreement, so that they can put into practice the theoretical part learned during the studies. Our cooperation will continue in the future, not only as a promise, but also in concrete projects".



Minister of Labor and Social Welfare, Mr. Skender Reçica, traveled to the state of Kuwait at the invitation of his counterpart, Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, Hind Sabeeh Barak Al-Sabeeh.

Minister Mr. Reçica will hold meetings with Kuwait's institutional representatives as well as representatives dealing with employment, social welfare, child protection and vulnerable groups.


The Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare, MAFRD and the Municipality of Malisheva have signed a Cooperation Agreement on seasonal employment of 40 jobseekers in the forestry sector. The purpose of this agreement is the realization of a program for sustainable forest management in silvicultural activities,  rarefaction  pre-market, cleaning, pruning, maintenance of forested objects and replacement of failed seedlings.




For the fourth consecutive year, the Labor Fair 2018 was held in Prishtina, organized by the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare, the German Association for International Cooperation (GIZ) and the German-Kosovo Chamber of Commerce.

In this edition of the Labor Fair there were more than 150 companies and local and international institutions which together opened about 4,000 vacancies or internships with the possibility of continuation.



Minister of Labor and Social Welfare, Mr. Skender Reçica, together with the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Fatmir Limaj, are continuing their meetings with the beneficiary families of social assistance in order to realize the project for the employment of a member of each family who did not no employees, who have at least one skilled worker.
Minister Mr. Reçica and Deputy Prime Minister Mr. Limaj met with beneficiary families of the Social Assistance Scheme in the Municipality of Ferizaj, where they discussed the possibility of employing these members, including in active labor market measures.



The Social-Economic Council (ESC), whose work is coordinated by Minister of MLSW Mr. Skender Reçica, held today the next meeting, during which a number of issues were discussed. During the meeting, the professional tripartite professional commission of ESC has reported on the procedures for drafting the General Collective Agreement.




MLSW Minister Skender Reçica was invited to report today to the Commission on Human Rights, Gender Equality, Missing Persons and Petitions regarding the implementation of the Law on Blind Persons.

Reçica said that MLSW currently enforces Law No. 04-L-092 on Blind Persons and Regulation No. 02/2013 on the Functioning of the Medico-Social Commission. In the legislative plan of the by-laws of the MLSW for 2018, it is foreseen the amendment and supplementing of the Regulation No. 02/2013 and the composition of the commission itself.



Minister of Labor and Social Welfare, Mr. Skender Reçica, at the invitation of the Universal Peace Federation, attended the International Leadership Conference, "Towards Inter-dependence and Prosperity: The Role of Religious Leaders and Parliamentarians", held in Vienna on 28 and 29 April.


Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Welfare  Mr. Cerkin Dukolli, today participated in the marking of the International Day for Safety and Health at Work, organized by the company 'SharrCem'. In his speech, Deputy Minister Mr. Dukolli said that institutional care for safety and health at work, besides being a legal obligation, is above all a human issue, because we are dealing with the preservation of human health and life. "Providing a safe and healthy environment in our workplaces means saving the lives and health of workers themselves, employers, but also of all those who for some reason or another have access to the work environment."



Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Welfare, Mr. Çerkin Dukolli took part in the conclusion of the APPK project and Diakonie, a project that is continuously supported by MLSW. The project, which has successfully crowned the youth training program, has been implemented by the Kosovo Employment Agency in Kosovo and the German Diakonie Social Institution. Nineteen-day training has benefited 61 young people, who in September will start further vocational training and employment in Germany.
