Today, on 11th of August 2017, Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare, Post of Kosovo and Bank for Business have signed a Cooperation Agreement on the distribution of social assistance payments.

This Cooperation Agreement enables the distribution of social assistance to over 25 thousands families through 100 Post Offices of the Post of Kosovo, which are located in the territory of the Republic of Kosovo and enable families in social assistance to receive the assistance in areas close to their settlements.



Minister of Labor and Social Welfare, Arban Abrashi, inaugurated the opening of the textile processing factory “VITEX” in Vitia. On this occasion, Abrashi thanked the German and local investors for starting to produce “Made in Kosova” products, which are mainly intended as export products.


The Minister of Labor and Social Welfare, Mr. Arban Abrashi, received a meeting today the Ambassador of Austria in Kosovo, where was discussed about the excellent co-operation that was with the MLSW with the Austrian Embassy in Pristina and the Agency for Development of Austria.


Today, Minister of Labor and Social Welfare Arban Abrashi has visited the Employment Office in Prishtina. He has distributed the employment agreements for the youth of the region of Prishtina, within the project “ Promoting the Youth Employment”.  Minister Abrashi has wished  success to the youth, pointing out that this initiative of MLSW with businesses has been successful and of a double interest.


Today, the Minister of Labor and Social Welfare, Arban Abrashi, visited  the Employment Office in Mitrovica. On this occasion, Minister Abrashi has distributed the agreements for the beneficiary candidates in the project "Promotion of Youth Employment", a project realized in  cooperation between the Employment Agency of the Republic of Kosovo within the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare and GIZ.

Minister of Labor and Social Welfare, Mr. Arban Abrashi, together with the Chief Inspector of Labor Inspectorate, Mr. Basri Ibrahimi will make the division of the certificates for the candidates who have passed the professional examination from safety and health at work.

This ceremony will be held on Friday, 30.06.2017, starting from 11:00 in hall no. 37 at the premises of the Prime Minister of Kosovo.



Minister of Labor and Social Welfare, Arban Abrashi, together with the Mayor of the Municipality of Podujeva, Agim Veliu have laid the cornerstone of the Center for Vocational Training in municipality Podujeva, the first object of this nature in this municipality.

This facility will enable unemployed persons to train and train them according to the needs of the labor market in Municipality of Podujeva upon completing the technical works. It will also provide other services of an administrative nature, for example. Counseling, job mediation, etc.
The three professions that will be offered as training are: IT, tailoring and hairdressing.



Minister of Labor and Social Welfare, Arban Abrashi, today inaugurated the new facility for the Employment Office in the municipality of Rahovec.

On this occasion, he said that Rahovec, from today will offer more quality and professional services for the citizens of this area. Congratulating the good work that has been done, he said that MLSW will further focus on other projects in the municipality of Rahovec in the future.



The Delegation of the Republic of Kosovo and the Kingdom of Belgium are conducting the second round of talks in Pristina on the negotiation of the Social Security Agreement. Talks started on 12th of this month are expected to end on 15 June, 2017.


Today, it is signed the cooperation agreement between the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare, respectively Minister Arban Abrashi , and the Program Coordinator of the German organization 'Help', Shqipe Breznica, within the project “Supporting the Socio-Economic Stability in the Western Balkans 2017-2018”.

This is the third year that this cooperation continues, where more than 750 micro businesses have benefited.
