Minister of Labor and Social Welfare, Mr. Skender Reçica, met today with the head of the organization for disabled and handicapped persons, Mr. Agim Vatovci and the representative of the organization, Mr. Afrim Gollopeni, from whom he was briefed about the work that this organization conducts towards persons with disabilities.

Today, Minister of Labor and Social Welfare, Skender Reçica, hosted representatives of Amnesty International with their center in London, headed by Sian Jones.

A topic of discussion in this meeting was the report on victims of sexual violence, issued by Amnesty International, respectively by investigators of the region of Balkans, a raport which will be published in Prishtina tomorrow.

It is held the conference on "Sustainability and Implementation of Harmonized Legislation for Safety and Health at Work”, a project funded by the European Union, implemented by Archidata, in cooperation with the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare.

Minister of MLSW, Skender Reçica, was also part of this conference, who took the opportunity to thank the European Union Office for its continuous support, saying that safety and health at work are the base of the social welfare for employees and their families. He added that this is strengthened even more by the legislative support, by getting the best practices, namely Harmonization of Kosovo's Legislation with EU's Legislation.

The next meeting of the Economic and Social Council (ESC) was held during which the decisions of the Professional Commissions of ESC were made with the new names proposed by the partners.

Minister of Labor and Social Welfare, Skender Reçica, was part of the opening of Job Fair in Mitrovica, a fair organized in  cooperation between Municipality of Mitrovica and  Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare- Employment Agency of the Republic of Kosovo, by being also supported by the German GIZ.

Today, on his visit to Turkey, the Minister of Labor and Social Welfare, Skender Reçica, met the Prefect of the City of Bursa, Izettin Küçük and the Mayor of Bursa, Alinur Aktash. The minister was welcomed by the senior officials of this city, which is known as  one of the most developed city in the field of industry in the Republic of Turkey.

In the wake of his visit to Turkey, Minister of Labor and Social Welfare Mr. Skender Reçica accompanied by Kosovo Ambassador to Ankara Mr. Avni Spahiu met with Minister Mrs.  Fatma Bethel Saja Kaja, of Ministry of Family and Social Policy of the Republic of Turkey.

Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Welfare, Mr. Vesel Makolli, today participated in the workshop on "The role of the health sector in inclusive and sustainable development", organized by World Health Organization, office in Pristina.

Minister of Labor and Social Welfare Mr, Skender Reçica is on an official visit to the Republic of Turkey. On the first day of the visit, Minister Reçica met with the Minister of Labor and Social Insurance, Mrs. Zhylide Sarieroglu. Minister Reçica thanked Mrs. Sarieroglu for the support of the Republic of Turkey to the Republic of Kosovo, both in terms of recognizing the state of Kosovo, as well as in its economic development.

Minister of Labor and Social Welfare, Skender Reçica, received today in a meeting representatives of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission, chaired by Stephanie Eble, Head of Mission for Kosovo and Ruud Vermeulen, resident representative for Kosovo.

Reçica and IMF representatives discussed about the reforms needed for war veterans and  changes that need to be made in the 2014 Pension Law.
