Minister of Labor and Social Welfare, Skender Reçica is standing for an official visit to the United States of America, respectively in the state of Iowa.
During his visit to the USA, Minister Reçica met with the Secretary of State of Iowa, Mr. Paul D.Pate, with whom he discussed about the possibilities of co-operation through numerous projects in the field of employment, between the Republic of Kosova and the US, especially with Iowa state.
The state of Iowa is a friend of the Republic of Kosova and has already begun to start implementing some vocational education programs with DMAAC in Iowa, which will contribute to the creation of a well-prepared American standard workforce.
Minister Reçica thanked Secretary D.Pate for all the assistance that the USA has given to the establishment and development of the state of Republic of Kosova.
Reçica informed the state secretary about the situation in Republic of Kosova, highlighting the fact that our state faces a high degree of unemployment. On this occasion, he requested from Secretary D.Pate to look for opportunities for jobseekers from the Republic of Kosova to engage in seasonal or fixed-term employment. Secretary Pate on this occasion stressed that the Iowa state is interested in expanding its cooperation with Republic of Kosova.
During the stay in the state of Iowa, the Minister held many other meetings, including representatives of the Iowa Labor Division, representatives of the DMACC and several organizations dealing with welfare and economic development, health and education, such as ''United Way'', ''Community Impact "and" Greater De Moines Partnership ".
