Minister of Labor and Social Welfare, Skender Reçica, hosted today the Director of Danish Refugee Council Kosovo(DRC), Kristen Stec, where they discussed regarding the support of vulnerable groups in Kosovo through concrete projects.
Mrs. Stec thanked Minister Reçica for hosting her and the readiness that he shows in cooperating in projects that are mainly about the training and professional education of Roma, Ashkali and Egyptian communities in Kosovo, where DRC and MLSW have been cooperating for several years now.
In addition to this cooperation, Minister Reçica and Mrs. Stec signed a cooperation agreement as continuation of the project "Support for Roma, Ashkali and Egyptian Communities in Mitrovica".
This agreement aims to reduce the social economic isolation of minorities and vulnerable communities in the municipality of Mitrovica and their professional preparation, especially women, young people and returnees.
Minister Reçica said that this agreement enhances efforts to decrease unemployment, especially among marginalized groups, adding that lowering the unemployment rate is a key priority of the ministry that he governs.
The Minister sought from Mrs. Stec to extend the support to other municipalities in Kosovo through such projects, while simultaneously providing full readiness for cooperation by MLSW.
