Nearly 4,000 jobseekers are expected to be employed with the launching of Project of the "Work Fair 2018"

For the fourth consecutive year, the Labor Fair 2018 was held in Prishtina, organized by the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare, the German Association for International Cooperation (GIZ) and the German-Kosovo Chamber of Commerce.

In this edition of the Labor Fair there were more than 150 companies and local and international institutions which together opened about 4,000 vacancies or internships with the possibility of continuation.

The opening of this event was made by the Minister of Labor and Social Welfare, Skender Reçica, who thanked all those who have helped organize this fair and praised that this fair is a good step for Kosovar jobseekers. Among other things, Minister Reçica, I consider such projects as the best mechanisms that offer the establishment of contacts and networking between the employer and the employee.
"What has joined us today is the commitment to offer jobseekers the opportunity to make contacts, respectively networking the possibility of vocational training and employment between employers and employees," said Minister Reçica.

Special thanks, Minister Reçica made to the Kosovar diaspora, which according to him has helped a lot in finding the possibility of cooperation between Kosovo and businesses that exercise their activities in the countries as he mentioned with special emphasis Austria, Switzerland and Germany.
"In this year we have companies from countries like Austria, Switzerland, Germany and this shows best the good cooperation that we as Kosovo have with these countries", added Minister Reçica.

Meanwhile, Director Bernhard Braune of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) Division for Returns and Reintegration said that this fair is a good opportunity for jobseekers who want to find a job vacancy and at the same time appealed to young people to visit this fair and see the opportunities offered by the participating companies.

In the end, a Cooperation Agreement was signed between MLSW, Mr. Skender Rećica, and Mr. Bekim Statovci - Director of the Albanian and German Business Union in Germany and Director of GIZ for Kosovo and Macedonia David Oberhuber where through this agreement will be offered a dual opportunity for vocational training for young people who intend to have a vocational training in Germany and after 3 years with those skills and practices that the German state will get back to Kosovo.

Minister of MLSW Mr. Skender Rećica as a signatory to this agreement announced that seasonal employment in Germany with those businesses that are members of the Albanian-German Business Union is also specified in the agreement.
Meanwhile, the Director of GIZ Mr. David Oberhuber said that in August this year will begin sending to Germany of persons who will attend various professional trainings.
